We want to also thank You for the mainly positive feedback! Some examples:

Andrée Trommer-Schiltz, FIP Secretary General:

"I would like to thank you so much for the kind welcome we had in Tampere. It was a wonderful exhibition and you can be very proud to have achieved such an event."

---

Jose Ramón Moreno, FEPA President:

Congratulations for the great success of the European Stamp Exhibition “FINLANDIA 2017”.The ability, imagination, expertise and friendship you have applied I have not found all together before. The venues, the wonderful and plenty of space Tampere Hall and the Postal Museum; The clever design of the exhibition in order to admire the extraordinary exhibits you were able to attract; The Hotel in the best location of Tampere, so close to the Exhibition; The very efficient organisation, regarding to the Commissioners and to the exhibition itself and to the work of the Jury and the Expert Team. All of it impregnated of innovative solutions which for sure will be applied in the future international exhibitions. And of course the kindness you had shown toward us has made of “FINLANDIA 2017” a unique event. To achieve it is necessary not only to be very clever,  efficient and ready to work extremely hard as you has done, but also a lot of courage to go over such enormous task.

I know you worked very tough taking care of every detail. But you can be proud of what you have achieved. This is really the right way to promote philately. For sure “FINLANDIA 2017” will be a milestone and a reference for the future of International Philately. I am also grateful for hosting the FEPA Congress providing us with superb facilities which were essential for the success of the Congress

Dealer Bill Barrell, Great Britain:

Meanwhile Samuel was in Tampere, Finland attending Finlandia 2017 with David Griffiths from Thames Themes. This show looked to be very promising, but the location of the show was a negative. The show was split over 3 levels with dealers and exhibits scattered through out the building which many dealers felt hurt the show. It is pretty clear to me that a MAJOR SHOW NEEDS TO BE IN A MAJOR METROPOLIS and Helsinki was the obvious choice for this. Too often the consideration is - 'what is the cheapest option ... rather that what is the best option ...(also applies to some collectors !!!). However good contacts were made and Sam made his first purchase as a stamp dealer 😄 !!

The President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö is the Patron of FINLANDIA 2017

(March 10, 2017)

The patronage of the President of the Republic is a notable recognition from the highest government for the biggest collecting event of the Finland's centenary celebration year. This patronage will continue the tradition: previous international exhibitions organized in Finland have had the same honor. The patron of FINLANDIA 1956 was the President of Republic Urho Kekkonen and the patron of FINLANDIA 1988 was the President of Republic Mauno Koivisto.
